At Domin we use advanced technology to produce our world class hydraulic valves using components sourced from around the world and delivering to customers internationally. We are looking for someone to join our rapidly expanding production team and take ownership of a crucial part of our supply chain.
The role will involve receiving products from suppliers, carrying out stock checks, facilitating sub-contract operations, taking responsibility for the final stages of our manufacturing processes. This will include carrying out the final stage assemblies, laser marking our products with specifications, packaging and shipping our valve products.
Working alongside the rest of the production team, you will have the opportunity to learn new about our products and the processes we use to manufacture our components. This role will be during the day shift which runs Mon-Thu 07:30-16:00 and Fri 07:30-13:30. There may also be opportunities for overtime paid at a premium.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing inventory levels for outsourced components, WIP and finished goods through regular stock checks.
- Transferring goods between adjacent factory units.
- Organising outside processes with sub-contract suppliers, including raising purchase orders and organising component logistics
- Packing products to ship to customers, preparation of shipping documentation and organisation and tracking of customs
- Carrying out final stage assemblies, inspecting components before shipping and laser marking specifications on valve components
- Improving processes to improve efficiencies in production
- Interacting with MRP system and capturing data to pass on to subsequent operations
Essential Requirements:
- 3 or more years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Great computer literacy
- Adherence to Health and Safety Policies
- Good communication skills
- Exceptional organisation and time management skills
Beneficial Requirements:
- Experience working in warehousing and logistics
- Experience operating hydraulic test equipment or carrying out assembly of mechanical products
- Has completed an apprenticeship
- Has 5S and lean six sigma understanding
- Experience using MRP or ERP
- Undertaken training courses on digital tools
