Domin And MSK Corp:
A Distribution Relationship
In Korea
About MSK
MSK is a South Korea-based technical distributor headquartered in the province of Gyeonggi-do. They supply position sensors and motion controllers into industrial, mobile hydraulics and liquid-level sensing application. Alongside distribution, the company also provides on-site support and training to its customers.
A Market Ready For Change
For much of MSK’s history, its business has been built on established technology. The company has represented Temposonics position sensors in Korea for 40 years and Delta Motion controllers for more than 20, and they have built a deep expertise in a testing sector that has long relied traditional servo valves.
That familiarity with the market’s incumbent technology is what made the case for Domin so clear when it was put to MSK by Delta Motion.
Reviewing Domin’s valve range against the systems MSK’s customers were already running, the company saw a gap that traditional valves weren’t closing.
“Our team closely reviewed Domin’s valve technology and specification, and we saw a great opportunity for synergy,” says Minpyo Lee, CEO of MSK. “That is why we decided to become a Domin Valves Distributor.”
For Domin, the fit ran both ways. Alessandro D’Angelo, Sales Director at Domin, describes the same alignment. “When we were building up our distribution network, we were looking for potential distributors with our same culture,” he says. “MSK is very open to innovation and is focused on providing high-end solutions to their customers.”
Proving The Technology In Testing
The relationship found its first proof points in the applications MSK’s customers already knew well: fatigue testing machines, ball joint testing machines, and tyre testing machines, all of which depend on fast, repeatable motion control and had historically run on traditional servo valves.
Minpyo points to two specific advantages driving the switch. “Domin Valves offer several advantages, particularly in terms of faster response time and better contamination tolerance.” Customers who moved their testing rigs onto Domin Valves reported improved dynamic response compared with the incumbent valves they replaced. This feedback has carried MSK into new territory, they’re now working on powder press machines, force testing machines and water pressure testing machines.
Alessandro frames that expansion as evidence of something larger than a single product win. “What Domin is doing is changing the status quo in motion control, bringing new technology to market. We need distributors that can help us in that mission.”
What The Future Holds
Both sides are treating the relationship as a foundation rather than a finished result. “I hope to introduce Domin Valves to more customers across Korea and expand into new industries where high-performance motion control is essential. We hope MSK and Domin can grow together in the long term.”
