Domin has completed a 40% expansion of its Domin Technology Centre in Bristol. This move signals Domin’s continued growth and commitment to meeting accelerating global demand for its next-generation hydraulic products.
Unlike traditional expansions that focus on size, Domin’s upgraded facility has been built for outcomes. Built for the the capacity to produce tens of thousands of its patented, high-performance servo valves per year. The entire facility, from equipment upgrades to production flow, has been configured to maximise throughput, shorten lead times, and eliminate inefficiencies.
“The primary outcome of this expansion is about making our manufacturing processes better, faster, and more intelligent. It isn’t simply about ‘making more’. said Marcus Pont, CEO of Domin. “By managing process complexity early in the process, we simplify the execution. This enables faster, repeatable, and scalable manufacturing without sacrificing quality.”
Some key recent investments include a second Renishaw Q500 Ultra metal 3D printer, enabling greater output of complex printed parts that make up Domin’s ultra-compact, high-performance valves. Plus, a suite of intelligent machinery with autonomous operation and in-process monitoring. From advanced grinding and honing to our Behringer bandsaw that probes and operates unassisted, every machine Domin invests in is chosen to support a self-checking, low-touch production environment that minimises waste and maximises production time.
Domin’s in-house approach to manufacturing remains core to the facility’s success. Programming, planning, assembly, and performance testing are all controlled internally. As well as proprietary test rigs developed to simulate future performance demands at high volume.
As Domin continues to deliver hydraulic products that unlock benefits across industrial sectors, automotive, and aerospace, this expansion of the Domin Technology Centre reinforces the company’s commitment to transforming motion control.
