Domin has been awarded funding by Innovate UK, part of UK Research and Innovation, the UK’s innovation agency, to drive forward an initiative aimed at boosting the UK’s advanced manufacturing capabilities. The project, titled POLARIS (Production Optimisation & Large Scale Data Analysis for Robust Industrial Systems), is yet another step in Domin’s journey to scale up its manufacturing operations, demonstrating a continued commitment to growth and innovation.
This project builds on the foundation of earlier Innovate UK-supported initiatives and will significantly enhance the digitisation and optimisation of Domin’s production environment. As demand for our high-performance, high-speed servo valves continues to rise, POLARIS will contribute to our existing work to delivering at scale—without compromising the quality and precision Domin is known for.
We have been granted £643,948, enabling rapid progress across several fronts. The funds will support investment in new equipment, the expansion of our engineering team, and the deployment of advanced digital manufacturing systems that will allow Domin to further raise the bar in production.

As part of the project, University of Bath will co-develop an Additive Manufacturing (AM) skills pilot programme, alongside Domin. This initiative will help equip future engineers with the expertise required to deliver advanced, sustainable manufacturing in the UK.
